ESL Pro Tour Championship
The ESL Pro Tour is an open ecosystem connecting all ESL tournaments, creating a pathway for established and upcoming teams to climb through the ranks and qualify for an EPT Championship. The ESL Pro Tour is divided into three tiers of competition: EPT Championship, EPT Masters, and EPT Challengers. Teams qualify for these tournaments via open qualifiers, ESL World Ranking, and winning a tournament from the respective tier below.
The EPT Championship tournament is the pinnacle of CS competition, held twice a year, featuring a 1,000,000 prize pool and Intel Grand Slam Contribution. Twenty-four teams battle it out in three stages: Play-In, Group-Stage, and Playoffs to claim the ultimate glory and stamp their mark in history. Legends are made at the EPT Championship, and the event has become a temple for history-making, with a long-lasting tradition of delivering iconic and memorable moments.
The EPT Masters is an established ecosystem for teams to compete on a global stage. Teams' consistency is put to the test in elite competitions, where only the world-class or those aspiring to be compete. The goal is to win an EPT Masters trophy and automatically qualify for an EPT Championship. The EPT Masters tier includes Intel Extreme Masters and ESL Pro League tournaments, with the former offering the traditional tournament format, and the latter spanning three weeks with a group stage and playoff format for 32 teams.
The EPT Challenger offers a doorway for aspiring teams to compete on a global stage and hone their skills in a professional environment. It is the ultimate opening door for any upcoming players and teams, providing a direct connection to the ESL Pro League. Teams can win throughout the different levels of the ESL Challenger League and qualify for the ESL Pro League.
The ESL Pro Tour combines the legacies of ESL, DreamHack, and WCS tournaments in a three-year partnership, offering more than $4 million in prize money across the tours and crowning the official StarCraft II World Champions. The circuit incorporates ESL and DreamHack tournaments, connected by a ranking system, into one narrative that builds towards the Masters Championships each year at Intel Extreme Masters Katowice.
The ESL Pro Tour for Dota 2 features seasons of DreamLeague, during which the world's best teams compete online for one to two weeks. Teams qualify for each DreamLeague via the EPT Ranking System, and each season offers a $1,000,000 total prize pool. After DreamLeague Season 23, the top eight teams with the highest EPT points will qualify for the Riyadh Masters 2024 at the Esports World Cup 2024.
