A Beginner's Guide To Using Pura

Pura is a smart home fragrance diffuser that uses smart features and premium, clean scents to provide a modern, customized, and high-end scenting experience. To use Pura, you need to download and launch the Pura app on your smartphone and create an account. Once you're signed in, click the Set Up Diffuser button and select the type of diffuser you have. Position your diffuser upright and choose your Wi-Fi network. After connecting to Wi-Fi, you can scan the QR codes of your chosen fragrances and insert them into the diffuser. You can then select the room your device is located in and adjust settings like fragrance intensity, schedules, and timers through the app.

Download the Pura app

To use your Pura diffuser, you'll first need to download the Pura app. This is how you'll set up your diffuser and control it.

The Pura app is available on your smartphone. Once you've downloaded it, open the app and either sign in or create an account. You'll then be taken to the home screen, where you can start setting up your diffuser.

Click the 'Set Up Diffuser' button, and select the type of diffuser you have. You'll then need to position your diffuser upright and plug it into the desired outlet. Make sure it's on a stable surface and won't be knocked over.

The app will then search for your diffuser. If it can't find it, you may need to enable Bluetooth permissions on your phone. Once your diffuser has been found, select 'Continue'.

The next step is to connect your diffuser to your Wi-Fi network. Choose your network and enter the password. Please note that your Wi-Fi network needs to be 2.4 GHz. Once connected, your diffuser will light up with a green or blue light.

Create an account

To create an account on Pura, you must first download the Pura app on your phone. Once you have the app, you can click on "Create a New Account". You will then be able to choose how you would like to sign up. You can either sign up with Apple, Facebook, or Google, or you can manually enter your information and then click "Create Account".

After creating your account, an email will be sent to the email address you provided. You will need to check your inbox for the email verification code and enter it into the app. Then, you can click "Verify Email" to proceed. If you do not see the email in your inbox, be sure to check your spam folders or reach out to Customer Care, and they can provide you with a verification code.

Once your email has been verified, your Pura account will be created. However, you will need to activate your account before you can start using it.

If you have already made a purchase on the Pura website using your email, an account has already been created for you. In this case, you will just need to activate your account by following the steps outlined above.

Connect to Bluetooth and Wi-Fi

To connect your Pura diffuser to Bluetooth, first, open the Settings tab in your Pura app and select Permissions. Then, click Enable next to where it says Bluetooth. A permissions popup will open to enable your Bluetooth Permissions—click Open Settings and toggle Bluetooth to On on your phone.

If your Pura diffuser won't connect to your Wi-Fi, you may have a compatibility issue. Pura diffusers are incompatible with Wi-Fi settings that use Mac address authentication, require you to enter a username, or have additional security features. If you have any of these settings, work with your Wi-Fi network provider to make the required changes.

To connect to Wi-Fi, first, download and launch the Pura app. Then, sign in or create an account and click Set Up Diffuser. Choose the type of diffuser you are setting up. Position your diffuser upright and click Continue. Wait for your diffuser to show a blue light and then press Continue again. If the light does not appear, hold the reset button for 7 seconds or until the light comes on. Choose your 2.4 GHz home Wi-Fi network or search for it if it doesn't appear. Enter the Wi-Fi password and click Continue to connect. Your diffuser will light up with a green light once it has been successfully connected to Wi-Fi.

Scan QR codes of fragrances

To scan QR codes of fragrances on Pura, follow these steps:

First, download and launch the Pura app on your smartphone and create an account. This is necessary to begin the on-boarding sequence. You will need to sign in to your account whenever you want to set up a new Pura diffuser.

Once you've signed in, click the "Set Up Diffuser" button. You will then need to select the type of diffuser you are setting up. Ensure that your diffuser is placed in an upright position to avoid spills, and click "Continue". Wait for your diffuser to show a blue light, and if it doesn't appear, hold the reset button for 7 seconds or until the light comes on, then press "Continue" again.

Next, choose your desired 2.4 GHz home WiFi network and enter the password. Remember that the password is case-sensitive. Click "Continue" to connect. You will then be asked to add fragrances, so click "Yes" to allow camera access, which will enable you to scan QR codes to quickly capture fragrance information.

Now, scan the QR code on your fragrance bottle. The app will ask you to verify the fragrance. If it is the correct one, select "Save and Continue". You can also enter the three-digit code located on the backside of your fragrance vials into the app if you don't want to enable camera permissions.

Finally, remove the cap from the fragrance vial and insert it into your Pura diffuser until it clicks. Label the room your diffuser will be in, review your settings, and click "Finish".

Insert fragrances into the diffuser

To insert fragrances into your Pura diffuser, you must first download and launch the Pura app on your phone. Sign in to your account or create a new one if you don't already have one. Once you've signed in, you will be taken to the home screen of the app. From there, click the button "Set Up Diffuser".

Next, select the type of Pura diffuser you own. If you own a Pura 4 Diffuser, plug it into the desired outlet, ensuring that it is placed in an upright position. If you own a Pura Car Diffuser, ensure that it is turned on and plugged into an active power source.

Now, it's time to insert the fragrance cartridge. For the Pura 4 Diffuser, remove the fragrance vial caps and insert the fragrance into your diffuser. For the Pura Car Diffuser, remove the fragrance cartridge from its packaging and insert it into the side of the car diffuser, with the valve side up. Push it into the slot until you hear a click.

After inserting the fragrance, open the Pura app and confirm that the correct fragrance has been detected. If not, you may need to scan the QR code or enter the three or four-digit code on the back of the fragrance vial. Once the correct fragrance is confirmed, click "Save & Continue" in the app.

Your Pura diffuser is now ready to start diffusing your chosen fragrance automatically. For the Pura Car Diffuser, diffusion will start when motion is detected. You can also manually control the fragrance intensity without the app by pushing the button once for each intensity level (high, medium, low, off).
