The only Xerjoff I enjoy is Uden. Kobe smelled pleasant to me. 1861, Nio, Comandante, 40 Knots are also good.

Oud Luban was pretty decent. Laylati from Xerjoff's sospiro line is an absolute beauty and a guaranteed compliment magnet. A bit pricey and rare to find though.

The only one I really tried was Najaf. Very funky in the opening, but it smooths out into a great woody oud. I also forgot to mention Mefisto (a stronger long-lasting version of SMW but with a pleasant twist).

Ibitira hands down. Honourable mentions: Uden Kobe Homme. 1861 is a personal favourite.

Really enjoyable from start to finish. Seems more suited for warm weather with its light projection and fresh feel. I could see this as an excellent feminine scent as well, so unisex fits here.

I'm resisting spraying this during the winter; I see this as a high-quality summer freshy. I get citrus and a slightly dominant grapefruit in the opening with a wonderful mint accord that makes you feel really energised. In the heart of the fragrance, it is quite floral, and in the Base, it has some xerjoff signature cedar and a bit of musk. Overall it feels very 3D, as if you are in a small space with all the ingredients being grown and crushed around you. Longevity on me is about 10 hours and projection is good.

SO similar to Casamorati 1888 Mefisto, this "Gentiluomo" goes a step further and adds elements of woods and fresh aquatics that make it more of a warmer weather wear than the original. As it were, Mefisto Gentiluomo was meant to evoke visions of a traditional, wooden-floor Italian barbershop, and perhaps this scent has done that for me. It smells mintier than the original Mefisto, and—as with many flankers—is JUST distinctive enough to stand on its own beside the original. I love both, and I applaud Xerjoff for pulling off this courageous rethink of the already popular Mefisto!

This is rather special. I get a floral cherry amber with touches of incense and clove. It's very elegant and extremely well blended—the result of high-quality ingredients and a talented perfumer. 1888 is one of the best amber fragrances I've ever tried. It also performs fantastic [ally], with all-day spicy whiffs of cherry and carnation. It's also a compliment magnet.

How gorgeous! It opens like a beautiful bitter cherry and almond cocktail and then evolves beautifully and remarkably towards a powdery, incens-y floral predominated by a non-cloying and non-acidic rose.

Spiced floral amber—the reason why I am using generic terms is that 1888 refuses to lift into anything much more specific on my skin. There's a touch of the light, almost fruity saffron, that sings out in Dolce Amalfi from the same line, but it's soon lost into this vaguely spiced sweetness that seems to rest on a base that is half custard, half wood paste. Fans of Christmassy scents may appreciate this one as it seems to have a mulled quality to it and feels warming, but I'll stick to a couple of Carons which give me that particular fix (Narcisse Noir, Nuit de Noel).
