Where to buy Odd Incense

To buy Odd Incense in the Pokémon games, your best bet is to head to a market. In Pokémon Sword and Shield, you can find the incense merchant—a woman with blonde hair standing between two market stalls next to a flight of stairs—who will sell you Odd Incense for 2,000 Pokémon Dollars.

In Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, you can also get your hands on Odd Incense, which is one of nine different incenses available in the game. Odd Incense is a desirable item in these games as it has several uses, both in and outside of battle, and it doesn't disappear after a single use. However, you will only find one of these throughout your Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl adventure, so don't sell it!

If you're playing the Crown Tundra DLC, head to the Slippery Slope area to find Odd Incense on the ground near some bushes and trees.

Odd Incense is used for breeding to get Mime Jr. and also has in-battle effects. A Pokémon holding Odd Incense will have their Psychic-type moves powered up.

How to breed Mime Jr

To breed a Mime Jr., you need an Odd Incense. One parent, a Mr. Mime, must hold the Odd Incense. The other parent can be a Ditto, in which case you must be able to get a Mr. Mime Egg from the pairing. The gender ratio is 50/50 for Mime Jr. and Mr. Mime, so it may take a few tries to get the gender you want. You can find the Odd Incense in the Solaceon Ruins.

Mime Jr. is available in Sword and Shield, Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, and Pokémon Legends: Arceus. It is the last baby Pokémon until at least Gen 8. No baby Pokémon were introduced in gens 5, 6 & 7, and there will probably not be any in gen 8 either.

Breeding Mime Jr. can be challenging because one parent must hold an item other than Destiny Knot and Everstone. This makes it harder to breed for the Pokémon you want. However, some players suggest that you can tough it out with only Destiny Knot or Everstone on the other parent.

Breeding Mime Jr. can also be a way to solve the regional problem with this Pokémon. For example, if a player received a gift from London and got a 7km egg, it could have the chance to hatch a Mime Jr.

Mr. Mime locations

Mr. Mime is a dual-type Psychic/Fairy Pokémon introduced in Generation I. It is usually very rare but can be found in suburban areas. In Pokémon Sword and Shield, Mr. Mime can be found in Route 10. They are relatively common, so you should see one pop up on the overworld before long.

In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Mr. Mime is available in the game, although its specific location is not known by the sources I could find.

In Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, Mr. Mime is also available, but again, specific locations are not mentioned.

In Pokémon GO, Mr. Mime can be found in spawn locations like hospitals.

In-battle effects of Odd Incense

Odd Incense is a held item that can be used in battle to power up the Psychic-type moves of a Pokémon. Its effects are similar to those of the Twisted Spoon. The Odd Incense is one of nine different incenses that players can get in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl for their Pokémon to use in battle.

To obtain Odd Incense, players can purchase it from the Incense Merchant in Hulbury for 2,000 Pokémon Dollars. Alternatively, it can be found on the ground near bushes and trees in the Slippery Slope area of the Crown Tundra DLC map.

Once you have the Odd Incense, you can give it to a Mr. Mime to hold before breeding it with another Pokémon, preferably a Ditto, to obtain a Mime Jr. egg. This process can be done at a nursery, such as the one on Route 5 or in the Bridge Field section of the Wild Area.

Mime Jr. is a dual Psychic/Fairy-type baby Pokémon introduced in Generation 4, the Sinnoh region, as the pre-evolution of Mr. Mime. While Mime Jr. cannot be caught in the wild in the Galar region, it can be obtained through breeding a Mr. Mime holding an Odd Incense.

To breed a Mime Jr., you will need to get your hands on an Odd Incense. This is a Held Item that is used for breeding to get Mime Jr. and also has in-battle effects. You can get Odd Incense by buying it from the Incense Merchant in Hulbury for 2,000 Pokémon Dollars. Speak to the woman with blonde hair (the Incense Merchant) standing between two market stalls next to a flight of stairs.

Once you have the Odd Incense, give it to a Mr. Mime to hold and wait for it to breed. You can catch a Galarian Mr. Mime on Route 10, where they are relatively common. Mr. Mime has a 30% chance to spawn in the Overworld and will be Level 45-48, so bring an appropriately leveled Pokémon and keep looking around. Alternatively, Mr. Mime can also be found in the Lake of Outrage section of the Wild Area through a random encounter in the grass, but only in snowy weather. Here, the Mime Pokémon has a 13% chance to be battled and will be Level 50-52.

Afterwards, trainers should bring their Mr. Mime holding the Odd Incense along with another Pokémon, preferably a Mr. Mime or Ditto, to the nursery on Route 5 or the Bridge Field section of the Wild Area. Keep biking around and checking the nursery until you receive an egg and then again until the egg hatches. If the steps were followed correctly, you should now have a Mime Jr.!
